The engineering is really there to make it reasonably quiet. The fan does not seem to be too big for the unit. It's a little bit noisy but not so bad as to keep you up at night.

Mold is out of control. There’s no way to prevent mold from growing because stagnant water sits in a dish. No thermostat to regulate temperature, so either it runs constantly or shut off. We have two other window units the same size but different bran... Read More
