This unit seems to be well made and blows a consistent 40 degree cold air in 93 degree heat!
Easy installation and includes accordion style shutters on both sides to keep bugs and weather out.
This ac is a blessing since temperatures continue to rise causing heat related issues.
There is a lot of water in the tray, you have to make sure not to tip the unit forward in your window.

For the money, this is an excellent unit.
Well worth the cost and it cools my tv room perfectly!
Usually i am called cheap, but getting the 6000 btu model is worth it rather than saving $50.

It does have an eco mode and a sleep mode to save electricity compared to a 5000 btu model.

For the last couple of days it has been keeping the insulated garage 5 degrees colder than the outside it took a couple of hours to get it there but it doesnt seem to have trouble maintaining it

It defaults to eco mode which shuts it off when it reaches the set temp and then turns on every 10 minutes to check the temperature

According to my peanut plug it pulls 60w when running just the fan 350370w when running the compressor maintaining temp and 450480w when it was cooling down the space 5 degrees

This unit seems to use the water it condenses to splash the condenser which is a good idea but it does make a bit of noise especially as the fan is slowing down you hear what sounds like running water the manual says this is normal
