Pros
The clamp is solid and you don't need to be too delicate handling it. The heaviness makes it a little difficult to lift and clean. It's too early to tell how it will hold up with constant use and cleaning.
My only gripe during installation is the attachments to secure the cooktop to the station needed to be cut to fit. This includes being aware of the placement of the gas regulator valve.
Works perfectly. Dropped in easily and is working great.
The grates are heavy-duty and continuous across the top of the cooktop, making it easy to move pots and pans around with no snags. The center grate is $130, fyi.
Cons
The cooktop is only one month old and two of the knobs broke. The replacement cost for each knob is $95 dollars. It is only under warranty for one year from purchase.

Installation involves only two connections, gas and electricity, and the electrical connection in most cases is just a standard 120v plug.
I had a builder grade frigidaire stove prior to this purchase &that stove caused me alot of pain !

You can get these at home depot & lowe’s but for over twice the cost.
Shipping
We shopped widely and a referral sent us to amazon for this unit.
Also, when i ordered this, it said the delivery would be over a week but we got it in 3 days!
It took a month to get here, but it was during the holidays.

It looks great, we get compliments on it often.
The unit had a few oil spots when we un-boxed it and were a little stubborn to get off.
) but, in the box everything checked out.
Competitiveness
Performance is excellent, and the btu output of the burners is better than the old one, so i'm happy.
But i will say that more expensive big-name units i looked at also use similar shiny knobs.
I didn't imagine how much better this cooktop would be compared to the old one.

First thing i checked for was the knobs coz i had a great fear that i’d have to deal with the pain of replacing plastic shaftsknobs that are usually on frigidaire stoves
