The condensation hose is at the bottom of the a/c. It has insufficient height to put a tray underneath. No very portable as a result.

Quality
Absolutely no complaints about this unit, solid build and design, looking forward to many months of use.
The ac unit has some great features that i love like the night mode (makes the unit quieter) and the timer are fantastic.
After 3 days of running, so far, we have not had water in the bucket on the cool mode.
This fridgidare ac blows them all away not pun intended.
Price
This really brings down thet total cost of ownership.
I think it offers a wonderful value for everything it can do.

Enter, the beast, or as i like to call him, art (after the transport in the murderbot diaries).
Packaging/appearance
I filled the boxed in section with insulation to help keep the heat out, and ran the 1/4" drain hose outside for winter heat pump use.
It comes well packaged in a big box.
The box arrived partially ripped open but the unit inside was well packed and survived ok.
Competitiveness
It works better than window units and any other portable unit on the market and we have tried three different brands.
My star rating should not be considered as compared to window units but com pared to other portable units.

It was only 4c out the other day and i left the unit on 25c and it got up to 23c in the garage

I’m guessing it is due to the fact that heat rises and then comes down when the colder air is at the lowest and gets exhausted more than the heated air

As for noise i think it is a bit quieter than a regular window unit

I have used units from other manufacturers that did not properly discharge the condensation water

We had to turn up the volume of our tv to hear it over the old air conditioner
