This year i bought some one inch wood strips from the depot and made window frames using this window kit on the frames instead of around the actual window

I cut the frames 134 shorter and took an inch off the sides

Dis this for 2 reasons first being the tape would leave a sticky residue around the window trim or rip paint up when tearing down

Its not pretty but its an affordable answer to a drafty windowfew hintsfollow the directions on the boxclean your window frames with some dish soapvinegar before applying the taperun the tape a little longoverlap itheat only needs to seal the edges keep the heat source moving around the edges it will melt if you leave it in one place for more than a couple seconds
