Pros

Most everyone (where it snows) needs roof deicing cables. No ice damns, no leaks. Most effective when you're diligent about it's use.

Cons

Realistically these cables are fragile and easy to damage. They are incapable of biting into hard asphalt shingles or holding on with spring force friction. Maybe they are counterfeit?

The rc30 goes hot the moment it is plugged in and requires a wall switch or external thermostat to control it. The manual indicates it is only to be used when snow is already melting, suggesting it is not capable of preventing the build up of snow or ... Read More
