Pros
The quality is actually better than best because it scans at 600 dpi rather than 300 dpi. The minimal compression option gives best jpeg quality while still being smaller than tiff. This scanner handles a stack of 25+ sheets without difficulty.
It is compatible with macos catalina, win 10 and ios v14. The scanner is fast and wireless. You need to download the software from the internet and depending on your needs this can be a time-consuming process.
Cons
Fujitsu scansnap ix1500 occasionally works great, but isn't worth the trouble. About once a week, the wifi connection breaks. Its really hard to fix. The rest is now absolute garbage.
It scans into pdf or jpeg but doesn't let you choose the file type before scanning. Editing receipt data was ridiculously slow, no bulk updates of any kind. I have yet to get a receipt that this scanner can scan.

This is my second fujitsu scansnap scanner.
The speed seems faster than the older ix500.
Had a bit of trouble installing the software, due to needing to first uninstall the old scansnap software.

My only recommendation is that you should reserve the ip address with your router

I do not have an android phone to rry it but i believe that it should be compatible with android os

I can leave it on standby and once you life the upper lid the scanner is turned on almost immediately

For example it will add the store date and amount of sale on a receipt file name

If you have 300 pages to scan break the pile into six piles scan them individually and use adobe acrobat to make a binder out of it rename it and you have a 300 page scanned document

Its so so frustrating when i dont make a lot of money and i have one but executives dont have them at their house or vacation home
