Pros

This thing is quiet. Its pricy but the speed and quality is amazing. I love this computer peripheral so much that i dare not extoll its values, lest it catch on. Overall, well worth the purchase.

The ix1500 is noticeably faster when scanning. Once the scan has completed, the button reverts to it's customzied settings.

Cons

Scanner has the most unreliable paper path of any of the hundreds of printer/scanners that we have had in our offices over the last 4 decades. Best way to go now-a-days is to find a scanner that is compatible like exactscan pro or vuescan that scans f... Read More

The software is hopeless. Huge downloads, a windows95 interface and configuration headaches just to save a document to your desktop computer. The raven pro blows the ix1500 out of the water except for photos.

The ix1500 is the worst scanner i've ever owned. It rarely jams. The rubber drive rollers are the worst rubber imaginable.

Price

If you have a need for bulk scanning and the sticker price isnt too big of a bite i highly recommend.

The price gouging has been quite incredible.

You have to admit the price is cheap.

Like any electronics, you purchase and the price goes down.

Packaging/appearance

I still have my flatbed epson scanner to scan things that won't feed through the scansnap scanner.

I have had the fujitsu scansnap for approximately a year now, love it.

Yes, some need to be done on a flatbed scanner, but 95% can be done with my scansnap.
