Pros & Cons
Pros
Fujitsu scansnap scanner is a huge time saver. It is faster than my hps document feeders and quickly scans ten sheets front and back. The document feeder mostly works, though you have to baby it.
It's compact, fast, and produces quality images. Portability is nice too. The only con is because it is so old it isn’t wireless.
Scansnap scanner can run without a wall plug. If your computer, laptop, has two usb ports, it needs two usb for power. It sits on my desk and is hooked up at all times.
It is a nice compact size that fits in a backpack and a suitcase well. When opened, the size increases to around 6 in x 11. This is amazingly small and doesn't take up too much space.
Cons
Scansnap s1300 is a total waste of money. You need a phd to understand it let alone run it. Their specification should clearly state that their scanner will only work with their software, it does not. Extremely frustrating experience.
Business card scanning/ocr quality is limited. It illudes to the fact that you can scan documents to adobe!
The snapscan software is more about trying to be a bad replacement for windows folder manager, than it is set up to help you configure and maximize the usefulness of the fujitsu scanner. After uninstalling and reinstalling, i was told to try different... Read More

This scanner is definitely for everyday, home office type stuff - get a flatbed scanner for photography work or priceless items.
If your on a tight budget and don’t want to spend too much on a scanner, you may want to look elsewhere.
If you can find this item around $200 or less- that's a steal.
Shipping
Granted it was on the precise day i needed to scan something and send it to my doctor's office, but still.
Packaging/appearance
A little disappointed that the box had been opened, taken apart and resealed.
Competitiveness
So fujitsu has had more than three years -- plenty of time -- to deal with this problem by migrating to the new oauth 2.
I've looked at other document scanners, and i just don't trust them as much as this brand and model.
In comparison to the windows based software, the osx software is terrible.
I would recommend this to other small business owners over mfcs, flatbed scanners, and other similar sheet scanners that i have... Read More
