Pros & Cons
Pros
Some practice is required to minimise the amount of post-processing. The colours are close to reality, but you have to scan in a relatively dark room. Nevertheless, the sv600 is a good piece of kit.
Cons
The software is clunky and often very confusing. However, for photo albums it is poor.
Highlights
Quality
Love the ease of use and the quality of scans.
Start scanning and the scansnap manager starts up.
Then save and exit, and wait, for the scansnap organizer to open.
My limited experience - it isn't very good.
Price
It is expensive but well worth the price.
Competitiveness
Due to the fixed focusing distance the company specifies that one cannot scan a book thicker than 3cm.
