Pros
This scratching post is great! My cat loves it. We got three free carpet samples from a hardware store, duct tape them together on the bottom and then added velcro. Great enrichment, exercise, and space to get away from each other and the dog.
Use the studs for sturdiness. My cats love it to be installed horizontally. As long as you find the stud this thing is on the wall and on it for good!
Cons
It is so bad we couldn't even get the two sections apart. What a shame because it is built strong and looks good.

Very affordable and easily attached vertically inside cat condo taking up very little space for my hairless boys!
Totally worth spending a bit more for.

I only opened the flap of the box to pull out a post and confirm that is where the fumes were coming from.
The extra post comes wrapped in plastic in an amazon box.
Competitiveness
Although i don't see the replacement posts for sale any longer, which is disappointing since i need them for another area!

I was surprised to not see any reviews about the odor of the scratching posts themselves so thought i would include one as a psa for those mcs or just odorsensitive people out there

We ordered the wallmounted posts and then one extra post to expand the length

They arrived nicely boxed and we set the boxes unopened by the front door until we had time to open and assemble everything
