Pros
The top pops open with the touch of the clasp and that makes things work smoother. No odour or sweating. No soggy bags. No smelly containers.
It washes in the dishwasher very well and its quick to hand wash. It helps to keep the odor away and it fills well under our kitchen sink. Nothing drips or makes a mess in it.
The container actually * the compostable bag in place so it is secure. The compostable green bags that come with it are nice and sturdy.
Cons
The smell of rotting food scraps is replaced by the smell of the food itself. The ridges inside the bin are great for ensuring your bags rips as you try to remove it. Since the bottom is open to allow air flow, if the bag gets any sort of rip or hole ... Read More

The vents are good but they sure attract bugs if you live on the country

The thing to note though is that if you use compostable bags they start to break down as soon as you put any wet material into the bin
