The principle is that the mop soaks up the cleaning solution and also picks up the dirt grime as the mop is dragged over the surface

This crud if you will is then wrung outremoved and fresh cleaning solution is soaked up

You wouldnt use a bristle brush to accomplish this because you know that when the floor dries the residue of dirt and grime is still there just spread out
