After peeling off as much of the paper as i could manage manually then spraying the adhesive with wd40 let it stand a few minutes on a paper towel then followed that with hot water and gentle scrubbing with an sos pad

Norpro used to have top of the line items but clearly they are now sourcing for the bottom line

The area where they have connected the handle has two sizable indents that will be painful for rust and food
