Dawn dish detergent is probably the best thing to use. Comes in a small plastic bag which was a surprise to me (i was expecting a box) gives a really good massage.

You can soak it in warm water and some sort of safe cleanser to try to remove some of those oils but its not easy to get it all out

They really need to go back to the drawing board to redesign this product for that very purpose

Meanwhile this is a good tool to have and use until you finally decide that its beyond a well needed thorough cleaning and just too gunky to use

The blue is nice to look at but it will definitely show dirt easily so just be aware of that if appearance matters to you

The ball is about the size of a tennis ball so it is not too big not too small
