78 lcd ( display is good, and reminds me of the old cell phone screens)my issue with this mp3 player was with the memory card slot, it won't hold my sd card and i've actually gotten the sd card stuck a few times inside the slotthe memory card slot is poorly made and is a struggle every time getting it to work by placing sd card in or taking out, so i don't even use that featurei just manually download my books, music directly from the computer to the mp3 player by hooking up the ubs cord to the the computer and devicethat is pretty much the easier way to download and remove books, music, etc.  Read Less
