If there are any downsides at all i would say sometimes it squeaks when i rotate it but that is rare and certain makeup products of mine were too big to fit inside

These work very well but as others have pointed out the adhesive is not strong

I have no problem using these in my shoes as they dont shift while my foot is in the shoe but the pads certainly do not adhere to the shoes and will flop out when you remove your feet or place the shoes into storage
