Pros
Disposer baffle works to reduce splashing and keep food from flying out. The diameter is just slightly larger than the previous baffle. It keeps the splashing inside the disposall.
This is the exact factory replacement for the american standard asd 1250 disposal purchased at costco which takes a slightly larger splash guard than most. This one is slightly larger and fit like a glove.
It amazes me that such a simple yet useful fix hasn't been implemented by the company yet. And it works beautifully!
Easy to install. I am able to remove and put back easily, so anticipate cleaning will be a smooth process. I love the fact that it's a simple press in installation.

The rubber used is very sensitive to heat (hot water) and curls up leaving you exposed to the grinding flying food.

You do have to sometimes push the food down but ill take that rather then food bits going into my face when i used the disposal prior to the insert
