The oils it comes with and the conditioner make my hair softer but you will still need to deep condition or do a hot oil treatment melt coconut oil apply to hair wrap in plastic bags wait 60 minutes shampoo twice done to get it back to 100 normal or better than normal with the oil treatment hahathis wont leave your hair smelling like chemicals for days and doesnt rub off onto anything
