I dont know if there are any instructions for this stone in particular but i found that it will only give you a good consistent polish if you use it in long strokes all the way down the blade at one time instead of using it in one spot at a time down the blade

I use the diamond coarse stone to start then use regular stones coarse medium fine extra fine then this ultimate finishing stone after which i strop on oiled leather
