It starts squeaking since thanks giving 2018 and now jann, 2019. The surface of the pulley is bumpy. If the play worsen, i have to buy a better one to replace it.

Great quality that i will keep using.
Seems like a durable product and it says it is made in canada so great quality.
Eliminated noise (bearing was bad) without having to replace entire belt tensioner unit which would have been much more involved.
Installed the gates 38028 belt tensioner pulley on a 2004 acura tsx in about 10 minutes.
Price
It's been working great for about two months, and it was way less expensive than the same part from the dealer!
Much cheaper than buying an entire tensioner assembly, and this is from a reputable supplier, not some no name budget supplier.
Competitiveness
I don't know the brand that was replaced earlier, but this gates has the same manufactured name on the pulley.
I learned this the hard way and couldn't find the nut once it fell out, so i had to run back to the store for another one.

Unfortunately i paid a pro mechanic shop to replace the entire belt tensioner assemble last time and got only 30k out of the pulley

When you take out the bolt on the middle watch out for the nut behind the tensioner

The edge of pulley wasnt the straightest ive ever seen but it seemed solid and i needed the part
