Trained for chicago marathon with this product. First exposed to these as a free give away while doing a 5k mud run. My husband rides his bike about 100 miles a week and he says these really make a difference.

Flat shape also makes it easier to pack in handheld hydration packs. The package is slightly difficult to open if your sweating during a run.

There's like a sugar coating on the outside with a sour fruit punch flavor on the inside. These are gummy endurance bars and the packets are melted. They are easy to chew but they are stickier and have a distinct lack of flavor.
