Pros

This switch has a smooth operation and, most of all, maintains a consistent light level when dimmed at lower levels. The dimmer functions exactly as advertised.

I am not a liscenced electrician but if proper precautions are taken it is pretty easy to install. Easy to install (but a bear to get out of the plastic packaging). Easy to follow instructions.

Reasonably priced and worth every penny. Works perfectly. Nice positive feel to off position.

The attached plate with holes for mounting screws is larger than on toggle switches it replaces. Installed this on a 3 gang box of typical'skinny' switches. Only difference from other switches is the surround around the switch is different from most!

Cons

These are a pretty cheap dimmer. Most of the travel of the toggle has no dimming effect. The switch is light and wobbly and the rheostat is jittery.

First box had been torn open, not gently opened, but was poorly taped shut. Flimsy “feel” to the toggle and clearly lower quality.

Yeah, shame on me for not reading the reviews first. Not happy. Very disappointed. Disappointed - g.

Dinette area bulbs too bright with 3 ,60 watt but too dim with 40 watt, so i installed dimmable 60 watt equivalent leds with the ge dimmer.
