Pros

The length is 9 and 13/16 inches. It has a rubber gasket/washer on each end which are identical. It takes out all the chlorine taste/smell from our municipal water. My filtration unit is a whirlpool whcf-duf.

The filter works with no problems due to size. The latest replacement filter that we got has much stronger flow than the previous filter. My only complaint is that i wish it was somehow easier to replace these cartridges.

Cons

Seems like the water has to flow 'thru' both orifices. Ge lies on their label by saying, made in usa with globally sourced components. These filters, made by ge, are severely defective.

This filter and filter system is worthless! Do not waste your money or time on this product. Now i am stuck with 4 unused ones at $13 each.

The cartridges are too tall for the canister so a tight seal cannot be obtained and water shoots all over. The holes in the top and bottom of the cartridges are not as deep as the ones in my original cartridge.
