Pros & Cons

Pros

This is a basic 15 amp dual outlet that works and installs like any other 15 amp dual outlet. These are great receptacles / outlets at great affordable prices.

Some plugs go in just fine; others have to be finessed to get them to go in. I anticipate inserting plugs will become easier with use. There are shutters inside the slots to help prevent anything other than a plug being inserted.

This works well, and seems well built, as advertised. Check out my photos, or zoom in to see it before you make your decision. These appear to work properly.

You can only use 14 gauge solid wire in the quick connect holes, and you don't get extra holes like with some outlets.

Price

Great to buy in bulk for additional savings.

I'd suggest you get 25 for $33 and do your whole house.

This is relatively pricey for one at $3.

Packaging/appearance

Not much to say other than this works great, easy to install (if you know how) and came in easy to open packaging.

Competitiveness

These are super high quality, far better than what home depot sells.

Then i took a 3 prong cord on a compressor that had been very hard getting into an off brand outlet, and it was slightly more d...  Read More

Overall, i can't tell the difference between these and a somewhat more common brand i've purchased recently.

To be aware that theres really nothing general electric about these as the brand name is not license to another company which intern gets them made in a factory in china

I prefer the leviton brand but these are okay

Most receptacles only support two pairs

This one handles up to four pairs and has screw terminals that can be used as a backstab type connector but without the issues that real backstab connectors have
