Pros

It seems durable enough to get the job done. Overall it works the same as its non-wifi counterpart.

Cons

Nothing in manual about checking for wiring harness connection. I need to seek out a repair servicer on my own, pay up to $250 up-front for any charges.

App is pretty annoying to setup, has very limited functionality and doesn't seem well developed. Purchased in december, hooked up end of january and quit working end of july.

The resin tank was tilted so much that the connectors were pointed down about 20 degrees. The rim of the casing was broken. Now i know that it went down the water softener drain.

Easy to install and is working very well.

The softener itself is decent, was easy to install and get in operation.

It takes the bleach taste out of our city water and uses very little salt - a lot less than our previous conditioner.

Then one day it unexpectedly filled up with water and would not drain.

Price

No customer support unless i want to pay hundreds of dollars for a softener i paid $760 for brand new!

Instead i went with "soft water supply 7254260" for $50 to make the connection.

For perspective, i spent about $900 on pipes and fixtures for a small 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house.

This could get quite expensive since copper is not cheap.

Got it delivered in two days with free shipping.

Update: i sent an email to ge support on friday requesting that they send me a brine well cover.

There was a small dent on the front bottom corner , but not concerning.

Competitiveness

The same parts are used on other brand softeners and could be purchased cheaper elsewhere.

Overall it works the same as its non-wifi counterpart.
