Cons
Slow to make ice and goes into defrost mode 5-6 times a day. Still under warranty but try and get in touch with someone. It screams and whines extremely loud and doesn't make ice.

The ice quality is really nice- soft, pellet style.
Only had for a week works great makes ice quickly
The first one lasted 20 months, using distilled water, about a gallon a day, and never ran it thru a cleaning cycle.
All have made great pearl ice; however the three initial makers all malfunctioned.
Price
There should be no reason this expensive machine is already having issues.
I wish now i had enough $$$ to spend on the extra capacity unit.
We have been watching for this opal ice maker by ge and so excited that it was on sale.

It was a pain to get it shipped since they don’t send to all parts of ak- but we did receive it, set it up & have been enjoying ice since!

Somehow the ice actually absorbs the coffee so it melts throughout the day it turns into drinkable coffee
