Pros

There are a few quarks to get around, but the motion sensing works very well. These switches and dimmers are expensive, but they work well, and are quite convenient & versatile. This is the configuration with the ge 26933 motion switch.

The wiring is very easy. They insert into a hole and you tighten down a nut.

Cons

Ge z-wave plus switches with motion/dimmer are not controllable with my smartthings setup. I get the feeling they don't know anything about smart or intelligent homes and what a controller can do with some proper programming.

I reset the dimmer and re-paired it, but the issue persisted. If there is continuous motion in the room the time stamp does not change. Wasnt able to connect due to construction. Failed after a year.

The dimming range is almost 0-100%. Also cannot change the light sensing and motion sensitivity. The one in the hallway is very inconsistent, sometimes it senses from 15 feet away sometimes from 3 feet.

It is expensive but it us like having the switch and motion sensor in one device.

Price is quite high and was steadily increasing over the last 5 years, but in my opinion it is still worthwhile the price.

Competitiveness

Minimum on the ge 26933 is roughly what 30% would be on the ge 14294.

Ge jasco continues to be first to market with bleeding edge smart home technologies and this motion dimmer is no exception.

I think the price is a bit high for what you get but there are not a lot of comparable zwave in wall switch/motion sensors.
