Pros & Cons
Pros
No flaws in the chrome and the ratchets are quite solid. The ratchet has the same handle feel as snap on and just as smooth. Click of the ratchet is louder but you won't hear it over music anyways.
Sockets are made with the focus on the sides not corner gig like most brands. This is a great set for the home gamer as ave would say. Folks this is a very nice quality socket set.
It's nice to finally have a complete set of sockets, all from the same manufacturer, instead of the extended family of second cousins i've cobbled together over the years. Perfect for the diy dude. Awesome product and pricing.
I own this set, the 1/2 metric set (which skips 25mm/1), 1/1 sae set (no skips) it's very complete with all the sockets you would expect from a 3/8 drive set. The only problem i see is the 7/8 standard socket isn't stamped.
The box isn't as tight as i'd like, and makes it so you can't really tip it around too much. The case is probably a little bit bigger than needed but its in no way excessively large. It is well constructed and keeps all the tools in place when closed.... Read More
Cons
The sockets only engage over about 1/2 of the length of my deep lug nuts on my vehicle. The rest of the socket is a narrower hole. The ratchets in this set are clearly not 84 tooth and it's a120xp scoket case.
This is incredibly dissapointing. This is unusable. Very disappointing. Unfortunately the case is next to useless.
Highlights
Quality
I liked the quality of this set.
The quality of gearwrench as a brand is far and above what most big box stores sell.
Both of those things were done because of the 1-star reviews i read here.
Psychic sizes are not that visible also showed up with missing and 8 mm socket does not feel like the quality is quite there.
Price
The price was a little steep though.
I would have given 5 stars but the price is a bit high, and the sockets don't stay in place because the case is warped.
Shipping
It arrived in undamaged shipping box, the product box was still sealed in the wrap, however it is missing the 8mm socket.
Can't believe they'd ship the wrenches in the case they did.
Competitiveness
I own several gearwrench tools that i keep on my service truck.
I like these sets better than my dad's snap-on sets.
For the price these are miles above the competitors.
I don't even look twice in my tool box whether i grab a gearwrench ratchet or a snap on because i think that highly of this product.

The sockets are okay designed and sized well but did notice a few blemishes from the factory and areas where the chrome plating was pretty thin
