Pros & Cons
Pros
The dual pawl design gives it 120 positions. The toggle lever is smooth and tight. A high, but not too high, tooth count means it can ratchet through a very short arc if it's in a tight spot.
Bought this exclusively for my sons truck tool kit. Love my wrench. Worth the few extra bucks over a cheap tool.
Cons
Not happy with this ratchet. Will stick to snapon products.
Highlights
Quality
Every time i pick them up, they impress me with the quality.
The finish is very good and the handle is smooth and round - i have come to appreciate the virtues of a round vs square or oval handle.
The snapon truck stopped coming to the shop and i broke my ratchet.
It just destroys the functionality of the craftsman, way smoother with half the degree of rotation and a nice, durable finish.
Price
Worth the few extra bucks over a cheap tool.
Bet these will go up in price soon
I was hesitant to buy a ratchet at this price point since they rarely seem to hold up.
Shipping
Some have said the 120xp is shipping without lubrication but mine had oil on the gear and pawls.

In my 40 plus years of turning ratchets i cant ever remember breaking a 38 or 14 inch ratchet i have had some just worn out and i have tried a lot of them started with craftsman and then sk then through the years worked my way up to mac and then snap on and matco and i love them i have bought a couple of 120 tooth gear wrench ratchets and love them so far i cant believe i am buying a foreign made ratchet but i really love my 14 inch 120 tooth and decided to try the 38 ratchet i an not replacing my f80 snap on but it feels so big and bulky compared to the gear wrench i will wait and see about how durable it is tool truck prices have become out of line when you cant get the service you need i will continue using my top rated tools until i die but thought i would share my thoughtsi already own the 18 inch version of this ratchet it is he same design and if it will hold up the 8 inch surely will

Ive had a locking craftsman a long time but the functionality has always been lacking due to sloppy switching and high degree of rotation

I think it may be as good but not sure how it will hold up under heavy use
