I bought the tool from the states and i live in canada when i put the batteries in it got early hot and showed error codes

The display is locked and doesnt rotate so sometimes a little neck bending might be necessary to see the leds andor hear the beeper i have hearing issues

But a couple of months ago it malfunctioned in the middle of a job at least a year out of warranty

First the battery cap is terrible

The battery housing should be made of metal as well as the endcap and instead it is made of what appears to be a fairly cheap plastic

You must be careful not to twist so tightly as to damage the plastic but sufficiently tightly that the cap does not come out by itself

The way that the end cap closes is also terrible

You are supposed to screw it in place and while there is a small detente the cap does not tend to stay put
