Pros & Cons
Pros
The gearwrench 40-pc ratcheting screwdriver set comes with three handle options. The ratchet action on the three gearwrenches screwdriver handles is very good. Even the stubby handle is not as stubby as you might think.
These are excellent drivers. They have a bolt clearance tunnel to remove nuts from long bolts. Magnetic bit holder holds the bits firmly.
The steel parts are nicely finished and knurled in the right place. Their finish is superb. It is money well spent since the product is sturdy.
Great for automotive or around the house. I'm a mechanic and use it for field jobs mostly and it works great. Packaging enables me to put the entire kit in my go bag for tools.
Cons
Despite the 1/4 bit holder being magnetic, the magnetism does not transfer to the screws. The slider for tightening a screw and loosening a screw is backwards from your rotation of the driver. Frustrating to pay for something and not get all attachmen... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Very well made, easy to use in hard to reach places.
The nut drivers are highly polished and great fit and finish.
Very flimsy and weak, the cover came loose after the 1st time open.
The insert is made of thin, hard plastic that feels cheap.
Price
Best value for a awesome screwdriver set hands down
Worth every dollar still using it till this day
If i had it to do over again, i would definitely buy these screw drivers and save myself several hundred dollars.
Shortly after i ordered the 39-pc set, the price of the 40-pc set dropped, temporarily, by $10, making it only $3 more than the 39-pc set.
Packaging/appearance
And the packaging enables me to put the entire kit in my "go bag" for tools.

Picked it up at sears over the winter break because i needed some tools to tighten loose bolts on my desk chair in college.
Otherwise -- you won't find a better product for the money.
I don't think i will be buying any more gearwrench brand tools.

I found that the end cap of my snapon soft grip handles would come off if i ever had to 34lean into34 the screwdriver to get it to grip into older screws and the hard plastic snapon handles would bruise my palm if doing the same thing

The gearwrench handles dont have that problem

The shape of the gearwrench handles is better ergonomically in my opinion however i do find that i prefer the smaller handle over the larger ie 34standard sized34 handle

I feel like the larger handle is just a little too long compared to the snapop handle that i had gotten used to over the past 20ish years

One thing that i had never gotten used to was the direction of the ratchet selector on the snapon
