Pros & Cons

Pros

I have this toolkit for about 6 years and they are like the first day. Gear wrench performs as well any brand i've used. The warranty is lifetime. And it has nice, short indexing for tight spots.

This wrench sees about 2 to 3 hundred castle nuts a day tightening to about 30 ft. It still ratchets just as smooth. Really helped when replacing a 2007 acura mdx radiator. The ratchet mechanism is very smooth.

It works perfectly and has the directional switch on one side. Easy to put on and go without having to look for the embossed arrow. The ratcheting makes it super easy to work in the limited space between the rubber handles.

Cons

It's a good product, for a cheap ratcheting wrench, but it absolutely isn't worth $27, not without a better warranty. Stripped the gear after only 5 months of light (lube tech) work. Didn't last a year. Lasted 2 years.

Contacted gearwrench for warranty and received a lengthy email about customer appreciation and customer value.

Competitiveness

This tool has a useful on/off switch that makes it stand out from the competition when working in tight spots.

Like the title says its a gearwrench product.

If i could do it over i would have spent the extra on a tekton or maybe even a proto.
