Pros & Cons
Pros
Never had issues with the ratcheting mechanism. The wrenches have a solid heft to them, and don't flex under strain. I know a lot of professionals that use gearwrench ratchet wrenches so don’t hesitate to get these.
The finish on these is durable as i’ve used them as a hammer on occasion to get a bolt through and barely see any nicks or scratches. Past gearwrench wrenches have lasted well, so i presume these will. The smaller wrenches do fine, but the bigger ones... Read More
Cons
Trying to figure out (for an older guy) how to navigate the return process is like trying to castrate a pig, not easy! My 16 box end is very loose and very hard to wratchet with. Now the swivel head just flops around instead of staying in place.
Lower sized wrenches seem to be okay but the larger ones are just awful. These after 1 week, and i'm a mechanic, are so loose i am afraid for my knuckles. Maybe the company has fixed this problem, but regualar wrenches would do the same job just fine.... Read More
Highlights
Quality
These are a top quality product at an affordable price.
These are quality and well worth the money.
I own a large craftsman box, but the length (front to back) of the tray with the built in handle made it too long to fit in a drawer.
Packaging/appearance
Off the tool truck they wanted $560, same part numbers, packaging everything.
Competitiveness
My old gearwrench ratcheting metric wrench set has always been my tried and true set of tools.
Past gearwrench wrenches have lasted well, so i presume these will.
