Pros & Cons
Pros
It is a really good beginner tent, but i will eventually upgrade to a tent that can be free-standing (tough to put pegs in rocky soil) and one with higher (or more taut) bathtub floor. The trekking pile setup is great and the fly can be pitched to mat... Read More
Great lightweight backpacking tent. Designed for experienced, but cost conscious backpackers. The vestibule created by the cover is big enough to fit a 70 liter pack. Great one man tent for backpacking.
For someone who is looking for a ultralight tent on a budget, this is your tent. The nylon feels sturdy and premium. Good lite weight tent.
Just had this in isle royale and had to scrunch sleep to avoid getting bit by mosquitos through the net. Used this tent in a severe thunderstorm with hail.
When all guidelines are in place,, one of the most sturdy tents i've ever seen. The ropes and stakes are super nice construction, along with the ropes having reflective pieces in it to easier see.
Cons
The fly is seam taped but the bathtub floor is not. Stake bag and tent bag interior are sticky.
Highlights
Quality
I don't have any complaints about the quality; it seems to be made well.
I think the quality was great for the price.
Pros: (1) extremely lightweight; (2) quality materials.
I slept with the one flap open so condensation was next to nothing.
Price
I was skeptical about this tent but the price was right.
I am in love with my heavy osprey pack so the weight savings of this tent is key - and the price really can’t be beat.
It is designed for experienced, but cost conscious backpackers.
But when i do, i try to keep my weight and cost down wherever possible, and i do use trekking poles.
Packaging/appearance
In the four corners of the inner tent are plastic sticks sewn into the tub.
Competitiveness
Used this on a pct thru-hike 2018 and it held up great.
All in all, a great tent set up for the price.
Not a lot of room for anything but sleeping, but that is all i need when on the go and setting up camp in a diffrent spot every night.
Of course there are some things about the design that aren't great, but you're not even paying rei house-brand prices here, let... Read More

The inner tent is only anchored in the 4 corners so the top edge of the bathtub floor sags in the middle near where the hiking poles are
