I would not personally recommend spreading it with the spreader i find the usual peagrain of rice blobs worked just fine however you are free to do as you please

And there is no burn in time to worry abouttip i dont use the spreader to cover the entire die area and prefer the dot or multi dot method this ensures no air bubbles can get trapped in the thermal paste
