There is odd discoloration, a rattling from inside the part, and the it shares a number of differences from the oem part advertised. Broken less than six months.

But all that filing and cutting, the water cooler works great.
Had a brand new ge fridge given to me, had a small dent on the bottom, may have caused the failure but the compressor would not kick on.

Functions like original part did when new

On my model it doesn’t allow you to use the retaining clip that came with the original but it doesn’t really seem necessary

Based on that i knew it was most likely the start relay or the capacitor

The black wire goes on the terminal farther away from the capacitor
