Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons
The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

This beats the pants off of anything you can get at a big box or hardware or paint store. For a water-cleanup topcoat, this stuff levels like a champ.

Cons

Even with spraying, the sheen is very streaky. You get about 1 side of a 4x8 piece of plywood for every quart. Sanding and repainting the rest over the topcoat is going to be a lot of work.

Even with water, this stuff is impossible to lay with a foam brush or regular brush. It has so much of the mattifying ingredient that it clumps and instantly starts drying. It instantly starts to clump and dry at the high edge of your brush.

Competitiveness

It also evens out better than minwax when i use a paint brush to put on the product!

I’ve worked with many finishes from poly’s to other brand names top coats and this is the absolute best.

I compared it to minwax top coat in satin finish as well and i didn’t like the later as much as it took longer to dry, had a sm...  Read More
