Pros

Anyone talking about noise needs to tighten some bolts or something because this thing is * quiet. This thing is whisper quiet and puts out a ton of air! It is at least twice as quiet as the whisper quiet airpumps.

With the throttle half open the air helps to lift water out from the bottom of the tank and up through the 1 pvc pipe. Ibc tank has two diaphragms that pump air.

This is the only one that can put out enough air for one or multiple 4 hydrofarm round air stones for my dwc setup. Works great for a small hydro set up. Three 5 gallon bubbler buckets, with 2 inch airstones, closet grow.

Has been working perfectly over a year. I have several other pumps none of which survives for a long period. Maintenance friendly being able to buy a rebuild diaphragm kit and is easy for anyone to tackle.

Cons

If you have one already, dunk the metal manifold part carefully in the water. The box is not nice looking and it is not sealed. The item has scratches mainly at the bottom, and the paint looks kind of thick.

The reason why i didn’t choose this one first was because of the cost.

Packaging/appearance

The only con i have is the packaging.

But seriously, guys, spend a bit more for some decent packaging.

I bought it to supplement the vivosun, and ended up not needing the vivosun anymore.

Competitiveness

For the purpose of running 5gal dwc buckets there is no competition.

It's dead quiet compared to my old vivosun 950 gph pump, and it doesn't get hot.
