Pros & Cons
Cons
The spring that holds the damper closed is of poor quality. It's as thin and wimpy as a blade of grass. Flimsy, not going to survive one winter in northern minnesota.
Highlights
Quality
Used to vent my jenair downdraft range, the orig one broke after i had new siding installed, this fit in same space and is built sturdier.
Plastic seems sturdy, and with two coats of paint this blended right into the siding.
The bricks did not form a perfect circle, and i could not get the wall cap to sit flush to the wall with this plastic protruding.
Flap didn’t fully close for a tight seal so adjustments were necessary.
Price
Many vents are priced higher, but have lousy reviews.
Packaging/appearance
Product box had very small damage, but the vent hood was in new condition.

Drab gray plastic certainly would look a heck of a lot better if it had some color or even a little better finish on it
