Pros

Really circulates the air very well. It moves a lot of air. I strap a merv 13 20x20 on the back and it cleans a ton of air for a fraction of the price of an air purifier.

Much better design than other fans. The recurred fan blade is the same design you see on most large turboprop propeller planes.

Fan is magnificent with circulating the air. Loud enough to drown out annoying sounds in the middle of the night. Wall between front room and dining area is open so i could hear the fan well.

One knob, plugs in, three speeds. Low speed is great high speed is fantastic. Speed 2 is perfect for me, speed 3 is a mini hurricane.

Cons

Low quality motor and fan noise. Makes it sound like it is about to take off. Trying for months to return the non-working 1 with no luck.

What’s up with basic box fans these days? Don’t they at least do a rudimentary test of each fan before shipping?

As a result of cutting corners in order to produce these fans, the quality has become quite poor.

I suffer from many chronic illnesses and i can not tolerate heat.

Exactly what i wanted and good price

As soon as i can afford it, i'm buying 3 more!

It arrives assembled out of the box and is packaged well.

Competitiveness

Overall i would highly recommend this fan, it is reasonably priced (in this day and age) coming in at about a dollar less than the lasco.

This fan is much louder than the generic box fans you can buy at lowes or home depot.

Simply stated the genesis is a much better looking fan for the same amount of money.
