Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The silicone hose is very flexible and fit the bleeder screws fine. It's not as snug of a fit as the original fitting, but seems to work now. This has all the both a magnet and hanging loop, silicone tubing, straw in the bottle and a little vent on th...  Read More

Works amazing. Price is good as well. Honestly, haven't tried it out yet.

The geneis bottle has a sealed screw on lid. This prevents the bottle from tipping over. Top fits on securely and everything is solid.

Cons

Even the * is too large for the diameter, inside diameter of the clear tube? This is a design flaw, there is a hose barb on the vent * on top of the lid, where you'd attach hose between moving to a different caliper but the larger main * is the bigger...  Read More

Quality

Seems very sturdy and like it will last for many brake jobs to come.

Very well made and looks like it should last a long time.

The nipple (for venting and to hook the tube when not use) is easy to break, it actually broke off when i pull off the tube for...  Read More

It looks like the brake fluid weakened the barb and it just broke off.

Price

Great value for the money and made changing brake fluid super simple.

I will get my use out of this one for sure, and the price isn’t bad for what you get.

Works as expected, good for the price.

Packaging/appearance

As is advertised, packaging is simple - just came in a box, no instructions (pretty self explanatory}from what i can tell, the ...  Read More

Although it's a week late for the package, i'm not happy, but it's not the product's fault.

Competitiveness

So, while many people use the "coke bottle" method which is similar to this bottle concept but cheaper , i'll still choose this...  Read More

The clutch bleed nipple was in an awkward position behind radiator so the bleed bottle had to be sideways in order for the hose to reach the nipple

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Having the bottle sideways i found out the magnet was attached to the bottle by a hole on that side of the bottle

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

So fluid leaked out from that hole as i was doing the clutch

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You might ask why i didnt just turn the bottle so the magnet was facing up

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Thats because with the cap screwed on tight if the magnet was facing up the breather valve on the cap would have been facing down and would leak through there instead

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I just think they could have attached the magnet without a hole on the side of the bottle

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I might rework the magnet when i have some extra time but i guess for most jobs you wouldnt even notice

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Once hose gets brake fluid on it it kind of gets slippery and slips off the brake attachment point
