Pros

Appears more durable than original plastic one. Durable with longevity added for many oil changes. Good quality, a breeze to install.

Great replacement for the plastic oil filter canister on the 4runner. Perfect fit on a 2011 camry with the four cylinder engine. Put on my 2014 camry se 4 cylinder. Fit my 2017 tacoma v6.

If you’ve already purchased a filter wrench for the plastic housing, it’s still compatible. Just have to swap the center tube to the longer one from the plastic cap. No leaks after install.

Get an oil filter, install the gaskets/seals, lube them up and slide this puppy right in. Change it with out any worrying about cracking or braking.

Bought this metal cap for a 2014 4runner after i broke a rib off of the plastice cap and drove around for a day leaking oil as i went.

Get an oil filter, install the gaskets/seals, lube them up and slide this puppy right in.

I would pay the extra dollars up front to have this installed.
