Pros

The right valve for the tundra. Replaced on my 2000 4runner as preventative maintenance. Installed on 97 tacoma sr5 extend cab. Perfect fit for my 02 toyota tacoma 3.

The metal base is much more solid than the cheesy plastic ones you see for less from the aftermarket sellers. Don't skimp on this because the cheaper one rips.

I recommend springing for a new rubber grommet when you replace your valve it it is old. Buy the gasket too.

Fit as described. Worked like a charm and was very easy to install. This replacement unit is just what i needed.

Stay calm. Do it. Just do it. Works as intended.

Cons

Appears to be a fake. Showed up in a plain pastic bag with a generic label. Not a genuine toyota part as far as i'm concerned.

Easy to install and seems to be working great so far.

Plug and play, easy assembly and works as it should.

Took about 3o minutes to install would have been faster but the rubber grommet disintegrated and a piece fell into the valve cover.

I also checked the pcv valve vacuum hose, it was filled with crusted oil from all the years of buildup & the hose was very hard.

Price

This is a genuine factory part, at a very reasonable price!

Don't skimp on this because the cheaper one rips.

I think it's worth a few extra bucks.

Well worth the $14 compared to the $8 el cheapo plastic junk.

Competitiveness

I would buy this again as opposed to a cheaper aftermarket all-plastic one (like the one i just replaced).

The oem pcv valve (pictured right) compared to the aftermarket is smaller & better manufacturered.
