Works as describe, just swap out tube with one from the original housing. Just install a new filter and o-ring kit with some oil on them and on the threads.

Oil filter cap barely screws on (about 1 turn) and wouldn't screw in all the way. What a total waste of money.

Excellent product to replaced plastic oil filter cap
This is the second one i purchased as i had a rav 4 as well which had the stock plastic and it actually broke upon removal.
The center spigot the filter fits on is a tight fit on the 2017 tacoma oil filter so i reused the one from the plastic housing.
Price
Toyota wants $300 so this part on amazon is a steal and it is a genuine toyota part.
For a few bucks more, get peace of mind using oem products to ensure fit and quality.

However you do need to remove the longer perforated spigot from your stock oil filter cap and put it into this one in order for it to work properly
