After getting the original actuator out of my rav4 2005 i compared it with this new piece and they were identical

In my vehicle i managed to unhook the top rod by removing a plastic cover on the side of the door and inserting a flathead screwdriver through that hole you need to apply a lot of pressure but the rod will pop off

For my toyota rav4 2004 i had to remove the window glass first then using a tongue groove plier applied on the rod clipper and the rod tip to release the rod from the clipper
