I found it to perform very well at some tasks that should be for bigger axes , the head geometry makes it a great little splitter (better than a traditional gransfors hatchet for instance), and it's not a worry to baton on it to split harder wood as there's no eye to the axe head , can't beat it for the price !  Read Less
