Pros & Cons
Pros
The build is great, and the ergonomics fully addressed. I also carry a small multi-tool (also a gerber) on my keyring but needed something with more oomph. Seems pretty sturdy and haven't had any troubles with it sticking or corroding.
The final item worth note is the usability and functionality of the individual tools. Excellent resourcefulness, just like the man himself. Love it.
Liner inside case has a pocket that will snag the tool on entry. The individual tools are easy to get out -- there's a lever/little hook-thing ya grab.
Cons
The tool/knives are not sharp. It has a quality sheath however incorperates an inside pocket for survival instructions that constantly catches the tool when you try to holster it. The scissor spring is very slippery. The wood saw is a very poor cutter... Read More
The philips head screwdriver seems to be copied from coleman (made over 10 years ago) the lock is ridiculasly hard to operate. The tools are very small and fairly hard to get open but at least they lock in place right? Also the pliers is already lose ... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Otherwise, the quality and price are great!
I have owned one for over a year and it's the best quality multitool i have owned.
I'm very pleased with the value, and now that i have it, the quality.
If you are looking for a quality multi tool, this is it.
Packaging/appearance
I like that the tools open to the outside of the multi-tool.
Came in the most difficult packaging i have ever had to open!
Competitiveness
Bought this for my wife as she needed a multi-tool for her work.
Tool set is exactly what i want in a multi-tool.
Having lost my second leatherman, i decided to try a gerber multi tool becasue of the lesser price ($34 vs.
But at literally less than half the price, i'm not complaining.
