For the price this is an excellent knife.
Zero complaints about it, and the price via amazon was excellent.
I had knifes 4 times more expensive and still not that good !
I bought it because it was inexpensive and had a wide blade that i could use and abuse.

Personally, i think most gerber knives are just hype and marketing, but this one is on a very short list of "pretty decent" gerber knives.
Another place where i've used this knife is in the canyon country of utah and arizona.

Knife has a different marking on it than what is pictured

Also has a cheaper looking sheath with it it doesnt have the 2 rivets on the blade side like what is pictured

Compared to the old one this one has a better feeling in hand handle but it seems like they profiled the blade slightly different so its 14 of an inch smaller
