Pros & Cons
Pros
I have very dainty hands, however my bones are very long. This knife is probably amazing for someone with petite hands. The combo edge is the best for utility use and has stayed very sharp.
The assisted opening is very crisp and tight. The spring loaded blade works well, but the button safety lock is a little stiff.
This is my second one since i lost my first one to airport security (oops) comes in new with a razor sharp edge that lasts what seems like forever. I always keep one amd have a backup ready in the sock drawer.
Cons
The lock/unlock device was so annoying i got rid of it. The locking switch is finicky and catches sometimes. The top bolster guard is not positioned ergonomically.
This knife is dross at best. I have other sog knives that are better quality and materials. Kershaw and crkt make much better knives for half the price. Buy a similarly priced kershaw or pony up for the american made version of this knife.
Highlights
Quality
One of the best pocket knifes ever made, size and operation are great
Well made and fits my hand well.
If there was a flipper tab , i could put up with this cheaply made knife!
Mine opens very roughly even after applying pivot lubricant and repeated break in exercises.
Price
For the money its worth it though.
I bought one of these years ago when they were 20 bucks.
Packaging/appearance
Was presented to me as a switchblade though
Competitiveness
Fast-open to the point of rivaling a switchblade.
